Mushroom Madness Race (2024)

Summary[]

The Mushroom Madness Race is a new limited time in-Camp Event. In its third Beta test run on 23 May 2024 that rewards players who merge Mushrooms and Magic Mushrooms, and also as one Reddit poster puts it, "pits players against each other to win an exclusive dragon type, instead of a single player slightly co-operative game based on helping little dragons survive and thrive".

Greetings[]

Participants are greeted by Quinn the traveling bard, with the following monologue:

"Greetings fine folk, I'm Quinn the traveling bard"

"Astounding! On all my adventures I've never seen so many dragons.."

"I have a fun idea, let's find out which dragon is the fastest!"

"Pick your favourite dragon to represent you in the race (Don't worry, your choice is visual only and will not affect the race."

"Merge Mushrooms in the camp to earn race points"

"Your dragon will fly forward based on the race points you earn"

"Be the 1st dragon to cross the finish line to with the race and chest!"

"This is your chance to win the all-new Triumphant Dragon!"

On its appearance, the Race prompts you to choose among dragons you own for the icon image of your player during the race, and then shows a Race board where 4 other players have already started. While you play the Race shows when other players have accumulated points as a red exclamation on the icon, to indicate they have advanced in points, and clicking on the Race shows the players moving into and out from their current race standing.

Rewards[]

Reports of point requirements and rewards vary, maybe due to the fact that this event is still in beta testing. Participants have seen between 960 to 5100 points needed for the final prize.

The first to cross the finish line wins the grand prize of one or more Triumphant Dragons, (Levels 3 or 4), but all participants have the opportunity to pick up two Race Event Reward Chests on the way.

In this event occurrence, reports are that the first chest gave a Triumphant Dragon Egg, and one of an Ancient Spring (Level 2), Bear Topiary (Level 2), or Gaia Statue. The second chest contained another Triumphant Dragon Egg, and a Flawless Soul Crystal of Level 4, or 5.

Note: During beta test the rewards and points requirement vary for different players, therefore above rewards are subject to change, and might be different from final result on global release.

Points[]

A table showing points awarded during the game favors merges of Mushrooms, which can be gained through allowing Rain Puddles to dry up and develop into Level 1 Spotted Shrooms, purchasing Possessed Chests with Stone, and through harvesting Mushrooms for Mushroom Caps.

Boost[]

Three types of Race Boosters were offered during play for Gems, varying in the size and the cost. Initially, players were instructed to accept the smallest Boost for 0 gems to get started, after that the cost increased to 29 Gems. After purchase, the booster appears in camp to be opened with a tap. The odds of receiving specific Mushrooms are shown in the table below.

• Players were asked to update their game to 11.4.3 version in advance for this event, and to note that only a small percentage of players will have access to this event. The merge chain was hinted at being either mushrooms or flowers.
